Forcible Exit trough Wall City of Chico Fire Department - Iron Triangle Training Group

Description:

Video length: 35 secs. Chico City Firefighter Mike Watner performs a quick forcible exit through a wall using a haligan tool. Mike inserts the fork end of the tool into the wall between two studs and the sinks it al lthe way down and uses the leverage of the handle to rip open the Drywall quickly. Once this is done he opens up the other side by kicking a opening and then quickly dives in between the studs and exits the room. You may notice mike is not wearing an SCBA during this training but it can be while wearing one. once the opening is made there are several methods to pass through the wall depending on conditions of the room, flashover possiblilities and sizeof the firefighter. just another tool for your toolbox
