FireWhat, Inc. owns and operates mobile labs which are trailers equipped with specialized equipment for providing office-like capabilities in remote field settings in support of emergency incident response. Clerical Mobile Labs are trailers equipped with computers and printing equipment to print/collate/bind documents and print/plot large-format maps. GIS Mobile Labs are trailers equipped with GIS workstations and similar printing/plotting capability.
Under general supervision, will perform a variety of duties related to the loading and unloading, pick-up and delivery of parts, supplies and equipment to a specified address or fire incident.
The Supply Runner, must be available on very short notice, drive to remote areas to pick-up and transport supplies to locations within our region, as well as within the Western United States in a variety of weather conditions.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: (not in any hierarchical order)
Pick-up and receive a variety of parts, supplies and equipment.
Drive your personal vehicle to deliver and pick up parts, supplies and equipment at sites; load and unload vehicle.
Available to respond to emergency pick-up and delivery after hours including night, weekends and holidays.
Develop and maintain an efficient routing system.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Ability to prioritize multiple parts pick-up and deliveries.
The ability to lift and carry items up to a maximum of 50 pounds.
Must have valid class C Drivers License with an acceptable driving record.
Must be able to provide proof of current vehicle insurance.
Skill in communicating effectively with others both orally and in writing.
Skill in dealing effectively with the general public.
Responsible and dependable with strong work ethic
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work.
Be able to tackle other duties as assigned.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT
Work is performed in all types of environment, weather and road conditions, including off highway and other remote locations. Subject to bending, twisting, reaching, lifting and kneeling. Occasionally lift objects (up to 50 pounds) and perform other similar actions during the course of the workday.
18 years of age, High School diploma or GED. Possession of a valid class C Drivers License issued by the Department of Motor Vehicles. A print out of your driving record and valid insurance, must accompany your application.
